Brittany is a graduate of the University of South Florida where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 2012. Since then she has been professionally teaching music and theatre for the past ten years.
Brittany began her career as a performer in the third grade which is when she developed a love for performance. She has received superior ratings at solo and ensemble, District IEs and Florida State Thespian events. She has also received top honors at NATS and is a winner of the Stephen Foster Scholarship, an FFMC Voice Scholarship.
Brittany is an active performer and can frequently be found on stage. Her most recent production credits include Emily Hobbs in Elf The Musical at Lakeland Community Theatre and Pat in Kinky Boots at Theatre Winter Haven. Some of her favorite roles have been, Woman in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Marion Thayer in Titanic, Lily in The Secret Garden, Officer Barrel in Urinetown, Mary in Caught in the Net, Carol in Laughter on the 23rd Floor, and Shelly/Annie in Evil Dead: The Musical. Of course she has also loved performing in The Veteran’s Project, The Polar Express Experience, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Cabaret, Cinderella, Les Miserables, and countless others.
As an educator Brittany has musically directed multiple stage productions including Fame, Legally Blonde, Singin’ In The Rain, and Once On This Island.
Brittany believes that maintaining an active role as a performer, her knowledge of the stage, and the skills that come from live performance enhance and inform her lessons. Brittany loves helping her students make bold choices and preparing them for live performances.
