Jacob Patrick
Jacob began playing piano at the young age of 7, alongside of his older siblings. He quickly found a love for making music and practiced every day, always sharing what he was learning with whoever would listen! When he was in 8th grade, he heard a CD of one of Edvard Grieg’s piano concertos and was mesmerized by the skill and beauty on display. He gained a passion for classical music and would try to play every new piece he could get his hands on! In 11th grade he began studying with Tom Pizi, who encouraged him to pursue a career in music.
He enrolled for a semester of music classes at the State College of Florida, then transferred to USF, where he studies under Dr. Eunmi Ko and is working towards a bachelor’s degree in piano performance!
Since starting school, he has performed with the Dunedin Music Society and multiple times at USF, and has played with churches, bands, festivals, and retirement homes.
Jacob played keyboard for his church in Sarasota, playing traditional to contemporary worship music. He currently plays at Tampa Bay Presbyterian Church.
