Lydia was born and raised in the Saint Petersburg/Largo area, and graduated from the Pinellas County Center for the Arts at John C. Gibbs Highschool. She is currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at the University of South Florida!
Lydia started in choir at the age of 8 and hasn’t stopped since! At the age of 11, she received her first guitar, bass, and keyboard to progress as a musician. Throughout middle and high school, she participated in FL All State Honors Choir, Pinellas All County music festivals, Solo and Ensemble, and attended a conservatory style magnet program at PCCA, where she began taking vocal lessons. Lydia graduated this program top of her class as a member of the Thespians Society and Tri-M Music Honors Society. Going into college, she was pushed to further her professional career as a singer and found herself singing with The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, the Florida Orchestra’s resident choir, and was contracted to sing as an ensemble member with Opera Tampa and the St. Pete Opera Company! Meanwhile, she has been furthering her guitar and piano skills under the direction of her professors and learning recording arts on Garageband and Logic. She enjoys studying the philosophy of music on her free time and makes it a point to interact with music meaningfully.
Lydia is currently studying Music Education at the University of South Florida.
Lydia enjoys working with students and their families to help them reach their personal music goals while teaching them a strong foundation for them to move forward independently. She wants students to become life-long music makers and learners, regardless of what field they pursue as a career, because she believes music is a meaningful part of the human experience.
