Piano, Violin

Omari Dillard

Omari was born in Carbondale, IL and raised in Plant City, FL to two parents who are retired educators. It’s no wonder he’s a natural born teacher! He was introduced to piano at the age of 8, and by the age of 11, Omari decided he wanted to play violin (a ploy to get out of math class turned into a lifelong love of the instrument).

From weddings to festivals, and private parties to corporate engagements, Omari has wooed audiences across The United States, the Caribbean, The Netherlands, and the UK. Omari was also nominated Best Instrumentalist of the Bay in 2019 and has shared the stage with jazz legends like Richard Elliot, Rick Braun, Larry Coryell, and Najee. Classically trained, with a contemporary style, Omari delivers harmonious sounds with versatility in genres like R&B, jazz, hip hop, rock, pop, country, and gospel!

Omari graduated 1st chair from Bloomingdale High School and then went on to study Mass Communications at the Univ. of South Florida with a concentration in Music. Omari has 30years experience playing both violin and piano.

Omari is a full-time musician as well as music instructor. Most recently, he headlined the Soul ‘n Love concert at The Vinoy in St. Petersburg, but he is always performing SOMEwhere! Some days at a venue, and other days, in your living room!

Omari loves to show students all of the various professional routes one can take with a music career, and finds it rewarding to see growth in his students. It’s not only rewarding when students grasp the concepts they’ve been taught, but also when they have the desire to practice until they get it right!
