Stephanie is a Florida native! She maintains an extensive background in the arts. Currently, she is teaching piano and voice lessons in South Tampa. However, she has over 10 years of previous teaching experience. And this experience spans multiple states. Furthermore, her students range all ages and skill level. Plus she has taught 3 years at the collegiate level. Stephanie has performed all over the world in opera, musical theater and as a classical crossover artist.
Stephanie began performing in middle school as a piano and band student. Incredibly, she didn’t begin takin voice lessons until she was in high school! But then of course, voice was her instrument of choice. So, she continued through her undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Stephanie has a Bachelors in Music Education from Stetson University. Additionally, she holds a Masters in Vocal Performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
In addition to teaching voice lessons in South Tampa, Stephanie performs in several vocal ensembles. First, she sings with Opera Tampa, house right here at the Straz. Also, she jumps across the Bay to perform with the Saint Pete Opera. And they always have busy seasons with riveting shows!
Then, Stephanie appears as a soloist with the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra. So, her performances are diverse in repertoire and ensemble type. Plus, this is an east coast ensemble in Cocoa!
Additionally, she works with Opera del Sol. This is a growing performing arts company in Central Florida.
Lastly, Stephanie participates in a small Opera crossover group called Klassika. Stephanie is a fun teacher to keep up with! Catch her at her next show.
Stephanie loves helping her students find their voice. Through voice lessons in South Tampa, she helps others find their confidence to audition, compete and perform beautifully on stage. Stephanie believes in excellence in musicianship but also in the joy of making music. She strives to infuse this balance into each of her students. Although everyone is different, well-balanced musicianship is just that – balance!
