Katelyn began playing piano at age four. She focused primarily on classical music, building technique. In 2012, at age 9, she entered her first national piano guild, getting superior markings. She continued playing in the National Piano Guilds from 2015-2019, getting superior or superior plus each year. In 2021 Katelyn entered the National Piano Guild to obtain her high school diploma to mark her achievements throughout the years with the piano.
Katelyn graduated Cum Laude in 2025 from Florida Atlantic University with a double Bachelor of Arts in Music and Political Science. She focused on Piano as her primary instrument while at FAU under the supervision of Dr.Irena Kofman and Ms. Kuo-Pei Cheng-Lin. Under these two professors she was able to grow technical skills and repertoire building through Hanon, Beethoven Sonatas, and Chopin Etudes. Her passion for music grew through classes in Music Theory, Musicology, and Sight Singing.
While at Florida Atlantic University she began teaching piano for ages 3-9 with a focus on having fun and proper technique building.
