Reagan Nguyen

Reagan Nguyen was born in Kelso, Washington, and began developing a strong foundation in piano performance and musicianship at an early age. He went on to pursue formal musical training on a full-ride scholarship at Central Washington University, where he deepened his technical, theoretical, and pedagogical skills. He later continued his studies on a full-ride scholarship at Lynn Conservatory, further refining his artistry while gaining extensive experience working with students of varying ages and skill levels. Reagan is currently based in the Tampa Bay area, where he actively teaches and performs.

Reagan has participated in high-level international training through the Oberlin International Piano Festival, where he studied piano performance, repertoire, and interpretation through lessons and master classes with world-renowned artists Dang Thai Son and Stanislav Ioudenitch. These experiences strongly shaped his musical voice and approach to teaching, emphasizing not only technical excellence but also musical storytelling, expressive playing, and disciplined practice habits.

As an educator, Reagan is deeply passionate about piano pedagogy and child-centered music education. He believes that strong fundamentals, healthy technique, and musical curiosity should be developed together from the very beginning. His teaching style balances structure with encouragement, helping students build confidence while maintaining high standards. Reagan places particular emphasis on posture, hand shape, reading skills, rhythm, and expressive playing, while tailoring lessons to each child’s learning style and personality. He works closely with parents to ensure students feel supported, motivated, and proud of their progress.

Reagan has experience teaching beginners through advanced students and enjoys helping young pianists prepare for recitals, auditions, and long-term musical growth. He is especially committed to helping children develop a positive relationship with music that extends beyond weekly lessons, fostering skills such as discipline, focus, creativity, and self-expression that benefit students in all areas of life. Families appreciate his clear communication, thoughtful lesson planning, and genuine investment in each student’s success.
