George Nussbaum

George was born in Oahu, Hawaii but grew up in Citrus County, Florida and Oklahoma City. While in Oklahoma, he attended Harding Fine Arts Academy, and went on to attain a Bachelor's degree in Guitar Performance from Oklahoma City University.

George began his musical journey with percussion instruments in elementary school. He then started learning to play guitar and the alto saxophone at the age of 12. When he began high school, he was introduced to classical guitar and became obsessed with the sound of the instrument. During this time, he also began taking piano courses, which he continued in his college years. After graduating with his Bachelor's, he added bass, ukulele, and banjo to his repertoire.

George has performed in several ensembles. From percussion ensembles in elementary school, to marching band in middle school, to large classical guitar ensembles in high school. He participated in solos, duets, trios, and  quartets, and very year, he scored a superior rating at district and state competitions for those performances. He also played electric guitar and piano for his school's show choir. While attending Oklahoma City University, he played in a variety of classical guitar ensembles, including the Oklahoma Guitar Orchestra.  While studying the Renaissance Lute, he performed in the University's Early Music Ensembles and gave solo performances. He is currently playing electric and classical guitar in a band, as well as a duo and solo act.

George enjoys teaching a variety of instruments to those who are aspiring to learn. This passion allows him to connect with others as they explore the vast world of music.
