Josh Hett is a Classical Guitar Performance major at the University of Tampa. He grew up with a passion for music and, inspired by the genres of classic rock and the blues, started playing guitar when he was in 6th grade. Early on, he got opportunities to preform in his teacher’s recitals and at his church’s youth group. In high school, he played in the FEMA 2019 All-State classical guitar ensemble in Tampa along with his school’s guitar ensemble. In college, he began as an entrepreneurship major, but switched to music performance his sophomore year, and has received music scholarships and awards. He will graduate this spring, and is making his transition from school to the professional world, performing and teaching lessons with the Barrett School of Music.
