Brelynn Williams, a Tampa native, has been playing the cello for over a decade, and realized she had a true passion for music and performance in high school, where she studied under Jason Jerald at Howard W. Blake High School for the Performing Arts as well as privately under Lowell Adams of The Florida Orchestra. Throughout high school she attended several summer intensives at Florida State University, as well as a summer intensive in Europe with the Florida Ambassadors of Music. In these settings she was able to garner a deeper understanding of music theory, history, and culture. She continued her studies in music when pursuing higher education and recently graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in music performance where she studied under the direction of Si Cheng Liu and Dr. Kyle Szabo. Currently, Brelynn performs with the Tampa Bay Symphony and North Bay Chamber Orchestra, where she continues to deepen her connection with orchestral music. Brelynn, in addition to her ensemble work, also engages in freelance work playing for various weddings and events throughout South and South West Florida with Jade Strings. Outside of music, she’s mom to a sweet cat, actively practices yoga, and sound bath meditation and aspires to teach it in the near future.
