Musical theater covers 3 topics – acting, singing and dancing. Our music summer camps will combine them all. We’ll cover acting exercises, monologue selection and stage presence, just in time for the fall audition season. Additionally, we’ll examine common dance steps used in group choreography. Unlike any of music summer camp in Tampa, we will include one-on-one mini voice lessons in addition to group vocal coaching and blending. Our students will work in a variety of engaging settings throughout the week. Part of each session will include sectionals. Meaning, all the violins will spend time on their unique part as well as the violas, cellos and basses. In addition, our amazing instructors will be teaching mini lessons to correct technique and improve reading skills for each student. Throughout the week, students will learn the fundamentals on a variety of instruments, including piano, voice, guitar and percussion instruments. They will learn solos as well as ensemble pieces on each instrument that they enjoy. Plus, we will use guided games that teach rhythm and pitch to break up practice sessions. And we will reinforce these concepts with a daily craft which your child will bring home to you. This class is catered toward 2-4-year-old children and their parents. Structurally, our Music and Movement Class will move quickly, only spending a few minutes on each activity. However, each segment will reinforce similar musical elements in an age-appropriate way. This will give your child a true music education, even at their early age.
