Anna Edry

The first time Anna played a piano at age 5 she heard a song the radio and realized she could hear the notes and play exactly what she heard without a lesson. Since that day she has developed a strong passion for music and is driven to share her passion with students. Anna received her AA degree in Music from Central Oregon Community College where she studied music theory with the Central Oregon Symphony director Micheal Gesme for 2 years and piano performance with Jan Saito. Anna was accepted into the University of Oregon BA in Piano Performance program, and finished with a BA in Psychology. Anna was the first recipient of the Central Oregon Music Scholarship, achieved the highest level in the National Piano Guild, and composed several of her own songs and received National Piano Guild awards as a composer. Anna has performed in the Sunriver Music Scholarship Festival 2 consecutive years, performed with the Central Oregon Symphony, and has performed in numerous public venues and events including local theaters and auditoriums as a soloist and accompanist.
For the past 4 years Anna has been working as a preschool assistant teacher and as a piano teacher, using music everyday in her regular classroom. Working with children with special needs and diverse backgrounds, Anna has developed a reputation as a positive and calm teacher. She has experience with all types of piano students, including adults, special needs, highly advanced and competitive, and the beginners/just for fun.
