Ana is from Tampa, Florida and a graduate of Newsome High School. She is a talented vocalist who has been performing with a variety of local bands since she was in her teen years! Ana is also passionate about animals, and currently attends the Veterinary Technician program at Hillsborough Community College.
Music has always been a big part of Ana’s life and one of her deepest passions. Around the age of 4, Ana began to sing her own lyrics around the house, but it wasn’t until she was 9 when she decided to start taking her musical journey more seriously. She began to spend the majority of her time lyric writing, and taught herself how to sing. She was always researching the anatomy around singing, and ways to improve her range.
During middle school, Ana did musical theatre and was one of the lead vocalists for her church choir. She carried her musicality into high school, where she joined her school’s choir. This choir gave her many opportunities, like performing at the Candlelight Vigil in Disney and competing in New Orleans.
After high school, Ana achieved her life long dream of being in a band. It was around the same time that she started exploring other vocal techniques, in order to challenge herself and strengthen her singing. During quarantine, she managed to find time to learn three new vocal techniques that she now uses in her music; grit singing, fry screaming, and false cord screaming. Just like singing, she was fascinated behind the anatomy of these vocal techniques, and began teaching vocals recreationally to whoever asked for advice. She realized she loved inspiring new people to start their own vocal journey, and decided she wanted to do this in a more professional matter - private teaching!
In Ana’s love for music and teaching, she hopes to continue to inspire younger generations to come, and to bring the amount of joy music brought to her, to other people.
